Are you interested in starting a New Build Design with Liz Powell Designs? You’ve come to the right place!
Today we’re going to walk you though the process from start to finish so you can figure out if this service is the right one for you. Our Full-Service design is exactly that…a complete start to finish design for your new home or large remodel! Let’s dive in.
GETTING STARTED
We start with a floor plan. Wether you have a floor plan already, or need to make one from scratch, we can help! We work hand in hand with architects and draftsmen to makes ure your plan is perfect before ground is even broken. We’ll edit and change as necessary until everybody involved is happy with the floor plan.
NEXT STEPS
Once your floor plan is set in stone (ha, we can’t help ourselves), we move onto designing your interior and exterior spaces. We want to make sure your new home or remodel feels cohesive and is something you’ll love for a lifetime! You’ll receive design boards and 2D drawing of every space in your house. Of course, nothing will be done without your approval. Your interests are most important to us, and we want you to be proud of the home you’ve worked hard to build.
I believe new build projects are most smooth when everybody involved works as a team. I give you and your builder a design binder full of the designs we settle on together. The binders also include spec information so everybody involved in making your home dreams come to life knows exactly what will happen during the building process.
DURING THE BUILD
Once we’ve settled on a design and gotten everything approved, it’s time to start building! I meet with your builder at the building site as frequently as possible to make sure that work is proceeding exactly as we’ve planned. I also meet with you and bring you on site when possible so you can see the progress for yourself. Keeping you involved with help us troubleshoot during the building process, if necessary.
Our new build service is meant to be a turn key service We want to make the process as smooth as possible for you (and even enjoyable!) so that when the last of the crew has left the building site, you can move right in. Your job is to communicate with us, give your insights, and enjoy watching your dream home come to life.
